The production of Marvel‘s Deadpool 3 has been halted owing to the SAG-AFTRA strike. According to rumours, Marvel’s Cassandra Nova will portray the major villain in the film, and Emma Corrin will play her. Cassandra Nova is Professor X’s wicked twin. She possesses superhuman strength and mental talents, and she despises mutants and wishes to eliminate them. She is a major foe of the X-Men and frequently causes them problems.
Emma Corrin was previously cast as Mrs. Alternity, a manager at Time Variance Authority, in Deadpool 3. She may, however, play other incarnations of the character, including Cassandra Nova. Corrin told Empire that she is delighted to portray a villain since it is something new for her and she wants to give it a shot. Corrin stated, “I’m very excited to play a villain.” Corrin continued, “I haven’t done that, and it’s an itch I’d like to scratch.”They were cast in the film after director Shawn Levy saw them on stage last year in a production of Virginia Woolf’s Orlando, albeit the cause for the meeting was kept under wraps.I’d heard about the project, but, in true Marvel fashion, they couldn’t tell me anything. According to the plot of the film, Wade Wilson/Deadpool gets arrested in Deadpool 3 for time crimes involving Cable’s gadget in Deadpool 2. The TVA transports Cable back in time and seizes his time travel technology. Deadpool is granted leniency and assists the TVA on a mission. Wanda’s spirit inhabits another Wanda’s body, ushering in a new world ruled by Magneto and populated by mutants. Logan uses the TVA device to alter history and finds up in many Fox universes. Deadpool enlists the help of Fox’s (X-men) heroes to combat Magneto, ending in mayhem and casualties. The TVA depowers and banishes Wanda, and Deadpool and others are sent to the regular MCU timeline. Logan looks for mutants, while Deadpool discovers Blind Al in his bed.
Deadpool 3’s release date has recently been pushed back from November 8, 2024 to May 3, 2024.
