Due to ongoing strikes brought on by studios not paying performers and writers fairly, Luca Guadagnino recommended Amazon to delay the release of Challengers. But as of right now, Amazon hasn’t made a final choice. The MPAA gave the movie Challengers with Zendaya, Josh O’Connor, and Mike Faist a R rating in the US for profanity, sexual content, and graphic nudity.
Release Schedule Discussions: Star Promotion Impact and Potential Challengers Postponement
The movie studios will debate release timetables, according to Monday’s Puck article. The opening of completed films could be impacted by the lack of star promotion. Blue Beetle‘s release was put off by Warner Bros., but they ultimately decided against it. Even without Denzel Washington’s promotion, Sony intends to release Equalizer 3 in September. Challengers, a festival film starring Zendaya, is up for release, but there have been discussions about perhaps delaying it. However, Amazon has not yet made a decision.
