They travel to Atlanta, Georgia, where they find refuge with Carlotta Brown, a surrogate godmother who is also a close friend of Star and Simone’s mother and a fellow singer.

Carlotta promised to take care of the daughters and to keep them safe when their mother passed away.

She urged the girls to work so they could support themselves and wasn’t all that enthused about them pursuing their dreams, preferring instead that they go to church and take part in its activities. They looked for ways to land a record deal and found optimism in Jahil Rivera, an audio engineer who took a chance on them in the hopes of making their dreams come true.

Within months of being up-and-coming young artists in Atlanta, they become known as Big Trouble, but they soon run into a multitude of problems with their relationships with one another and with their past haunting them.

They do, however, succeed in escaping the numerous issues from their past and start to succeed in earning respect.

After succeeding in a number of major competitions, Big Trouble was able to secure a sizable record deal.

Finally, the Lyon Family of Empire Entertainment assists the women in securing record deals with Midtown Sound, and they soon launch successful careers as R&B and pop performers.

Later, when they make numerous sacrifices to remain successful and relevant while touring with the label’s other musicians and finding themselves at constant odds with one another, they learn that the music business is challenging to prosper in.

For a musical drama series, Star’s third season came to a sudden and heartbreaking end. The season finale’s opening act was the gorgeous wedding of Alex and Derek. But things quickly get worse.

Miss Ruby and Derek share a tender moment before Derek walks down the aisle. However, she subsequently got into a challenging argument with her rapist’s killer’s cronies.

They are prepared to kill Miss Ruby because they want to get revenge for the death of their companion.

Miss Ruby bravely takes the shots to the heart, yet regardless how strong she is, she doesn’t show any signs of fear or weakness in their presence.

There will be more. Then Olivia walks in and starts talking about what occurred the night before with Derek.

Olivia wasted a chance because Alex might have been lying on top of Derek when he was high and wearing blinders, but she chose not to. But to put Olivia in her place, Alex threw a hard right punch.

The wedding has started to resemble the Red Wedding from Game of Thrones once the Bankhead gang members arrived.

When the beloved characters began firing at the unprepared guests, many of them died. Star and Noah, who survived such a terrible incident, made the decision to raise their child together. They discover that their child has been abducted when they return home.
