The Flash is scheduled to hit theaters on June 12, 2023. The film istracking to earn between $115 million $140 millionduring its opening weekend at the domestic box office. The Flash, directed byAndy Muschiettiand written by Christina Hodson, the plot is based on the comic book storylineFlashpoint, and follows: Worlds collide when the Flash uses his superpowers to travel back in time to change the events of the past. However, when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, he becomes trapped in a reality in whichGeneral Zodhas returned, threatening annihilation. With no other superheroes to turn to, the Flash looks to coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian albeit not the one he s looking for.
Thebudget for the film including its marketing campaign, is reported to be very expensive, estimated to be around$330 million. According to reports,Warner Bros. Pictures has a finished script for a potential sequelto the movie The Flash. While the studio has not officially announced the sequel, the script is penned byDavid Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, who previously wrote the screenplay forAquaman.
The film stars Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash, alongsideSasha Calle,Michael Shannon,Ron Livingston,Maribel Verd,Kiersey Clemons,Antje Traue,Ben Affleck, and Michael Keaton.
Produced by DC Studios, Double Dream, and the Disco Factory, and set for distribution by Warner Bros. Pictures.
